The organization of Municipality Resilience successfully broadcasted online on Thursday 23 April the first Conversations About Resilience. It was transmitted live from the Facebook page of Juárez Resiliente and Technology HUB, titled “How to Face the Crisis with Creativity and Innovation?” Ways to face and find new opportunities to innovate were discussed, as well as how to utilize our creativity to the maximum to be able to get through this crisis as a community.
The speakers Ricardo Mora, CEO of Technology HUB, and Patricio Ovalle, director of Hub Procidencia in Chile, joined by the moderator Verónica González, head of Juárez Resiliente, shared ideas about the future of the economy and the ways in which society will transform its operations to adapt to the new necessities of the market.

The speakers discussed the importance of collaboration between the citizenship, the private sector and Academia, and it was stated that each one of them must take their role in society to generate opportunities that resolve the real problems in today’s society. Patricio mentioned that “this is just beginning, we just have to know that this is coming and get ready discussing in what ways it can be taken advantage of or spin this situation around to get out ahead”.
It was mentioned that positivity that’s come out of this crisis, like the humanitarian reaction of people, businesses, companies, etc. Ricardo mentioned the initiatives that are being born in Ciudad Juarez and Mexico of people making efforts to help each other.

“We’re changing as a community and society, but together we can come out ahead” said Ricardo, “after the tempest, comes the sunny days. We must not let fear take over”.
“Either we fake ignorance, or we do something about it”, concluded Patricio. This is why it was remarked the importance of participating in the search for real solutions to get out ahead together and this way create and manage new ways of moving towards the future, that puts innovation and entrepreneurship as the engine of development and transformation.
