NO ES NORMAL BY VIRI RIOS
Technology HUB's cultural platform, HUBarte, presented a book titled "No es Normal" by Viri Rios. The book offers insights from the author's research perspective on why Mexico is such an unequal country.
Viri Rios is a journalist, academic, and specialist in public policy analysis with a focus on data. She writes for El País and El Milenio, teaches at Harvard Summer School, and hosts a political analysis podcast titled "Politics and Other Data." In addition, Cesar Ochoa, a lawyer specializing in corporate law, professional mediator, and public health and safety activist, joined us for the presentation.
We appreciate the attendance of young people, academics, researchers from the region, and the general public.
Working alongside The Bridge Accelerator sponsors is a true testament to Technology HUB’s mission of connecting customers, business partners, and collaborators. I had the opportunity to work in Flo Networks' amazing office space, which was not only collaborative but also had a breathtaking view overlooking El Paso. It was the perfect setting to work with the local SMEs that are part of the 8th cohort of the Bridge Accelerator program.
My role involves helping these companies strengthen their marketing strategies, and it has been incredibly rewarding to see them absorb the information and improve their businesses. Additionally, the participating SMEs were able to learn about the many free services available through Workforce Borderplex Solutions, which has been a huge help to them.
I want to give a shout-out to Bianca Cervantes for doing an incredible job coordinating everything. Her hard work has made a real difference in the success of this program.

FLYWHEEL 2023 INVESTMENT CONFERENCE
The Flywheel Investment Conference is an annual event that brings entrepreneurs, investors, and community members together to cultivate momentum for growing companies in Washington State. It is a top-notch entrepreneurship event that people from all over the world should know about and participate in. Lennys Cristina Sánchez, FUNAX NGO Executive Director participated as a speaker in the LATINA/O/X Founder workshop at the "Flywheel 2023 Investment Conference" held in Wenatchee, WA, organized by the NCW Tech Alliance.
Congratulations and thank you to NCW Tech Alliance for such great organization, promoting cross-region collaboration, fostering inclusive economic growth, and opening better livelihood opportunities for the Hispanic community in your state.
