CIUDAD JUAREZ AND EL PASO ARE PART OF MICROSOFT TECHSPARK, PROGRAM THAT WILL BE REPLICATED IN 50 STATES ACROSS THE U.S.
Microsoft TechSpark, a program launched in 2018, helped accelerate economic growth in six cities across the United States, including the Ciudad Juárez and El Paso, Texas region. Soon, it will be present in all 50 states in the US.
The success of the initial program, including the results in the Paso del Norte region (El Paso/Ciudad Juarez), helped Microsoft TechSpark understand how totally opposed communities from different states and countries can thrive and create digital opportunities in the digital economy. Therefore, the decision was made to expand it to the rest of the country.
Thanks to Microsoft TechSpark, The Bridge Accelerator – Binational Supplier Development program was launched in 2019. In the past three years, it has strengthened international relationships with private, public, and NGO sectors, including commercial relations between the US and Mexico, particularly in manufacturing, industrial, and innovation areas. To date, The Bridge Accelerator – Supplier Development Program has graduated 78 SMEs, created over 500 jobs, and helped generate $61 Million USD in sales for participating SMEs.

TECHNOLOGY HUB SHARES ITS EXPERIENCE AND WISDOM AT UTEP
The University of Texas at El Paso (UTEP) recognizes the need to equip its students with the tools to become entrepreneurs and start their own companies. The Blackstone Launchpad network is part of the Mike Loya Center for Entrepreneurship at UTEP. It helps students build the next-generation companies and careers by providing them with startup resources, access to a global network of mentors and advisors, and offering unique virtual and physical convening opportunities so UTEP students can go further and faster.
Recently, UTEP's Mike Loya Center, Blackstone Launchpad, Medical Center of the Americas Foundation (MCA), and Ecotone Investment Fund came together to provide training and education on tech innovation, commercialization, and venture capital funding to UTEP students, faculty, and staff. Ricardo Mora - CEO of Technology Hub, participated in the event and shared how venture funds and ecosystems benefit from cross-border collaborations. He emphasized how Technology Hub Juarez vision aligns with UTEP's.

In the past three (3) years, The Bridge Accelerator – Binational Supplier Development Program has benefited seven (7) cohorts of SMEs. This years 2023 program is made possible through the generous support of Microsoft, Tecma, Flo Networks, City of El Paso, Novamex, Seisa, Fix Arrowhead, Hunt Foundation, Desarrollo Económico Ciudad Juárez, Detroit Axle, WestStar Bank, High Desert Capital, MtNet, La Nogalera, among others.
