EL PASO CHAMBER - LEADERSHIP VISITS T-HUB

Technology HUB recently hosted Andrea Hutchins, CEO of the El Paso Chamber of Commerce, and its leadership incubator program for a tour and panel discussion. The panel consisted of Sandrine Goffard, the Political and Economic Chief of the U.S. Consulate in Ciudad Juarez, as well as representatives from Microsoft Tech Spark El Paso/Ciudad Juarez, namely Jonathan Childress and Omar Saucedo.

During the visit, we showcased the various facilities and spaces available at Technology HUB. We highlighted that our ecosystem includes a venture capital fund, a Digital Fabrication Lab (FabLab), a Pearson VUE accredited testing center, an arts and culture platform (HUBarte), and a culinary school (Kitchen/Workshop by OH!). It was important to emphasize that the Technology HUB is not only a provider of office and event spaces, but also a hub of innovation and an entrepreneurial ecosystem where startups, SMEs, and large companies thrive by working in proximity.

We would like to express our gratitude to the panelists and the audience for participating in a productive conversation. The panelists shared their perspectives and discussed initiatives that are contributing to the improvement of our unique binational community. The conversation underscored the significance of bringing together government, academia, the private sector, and local industry to seize the near shoring opportunity in our border region. Additionally, programs such as The Bridge Accelerator – Supplier Development Program were recognized for their role in strengthening the region's manufacturing supply chain.

Thank you, EPC Leadership, for visiting Technology HUB. It was a pleasure to host you, and we eagerly look forward to further Connecting Minds!

3MT - THREE MINUTE THESIS

The 3MT (Three-Minute Thesis) competition is a contest founded by the University of Queensland in Australia, where master's and doctoral students must present their thesis in just three minutes. The Universidad Autónoma de Ciudad Juárez, along with the Consejo Mexicano de Estudios de Posgrado, A.C. (COMEPO), is working towards its strategic objectives of strengthening national graduate studies and increasing the impact of its programs.

Ricardo Mora, CEO at Technology HUB, was invited to be part of the judging panel for this unique competition. Imagine the effort that a doctoral student had to put into condense a thesis into one slide and a three-minute pitch. Undoubtedly, the experience of the 3MT three-minute pitch is helping our region's students refine their entrepreneurial skills.

We want to express our gratitude to our allies at the Artificial Intelligence Center (I.A. CENTER) for hosting this event, as well as to the Universidad Autónoma de Ciudad Juárez (UACJ) and their team for the invitation and the opportunity to continue working towards improving education in our communities.

8TH COHORT THE BRIDGE ACCELERATOR - DEMO DAY

This is how we experienced our Demo Day! We want to thank all our guests, participants, sponsors, and allies for attending.

The Bridge Accelerator successfully graduated 11 companies at our 8th cohort Demo Day in 2023. This marks a community of 89 companies that have completed the program since its inception. To date, the program has created 500+ value-added jobs, facilitated over $61 million in sales, and attracted $4 million in investment capital.

After twelve intense weeks of continuous learning with 10 modules, we are delighted to introduce the winner of the 8th cohort: Congratulations to Grupo AG!

We would like to express our gratitude to our sponsors for their unwavering support. Without them, this program would simply not be possible. Thank you!

Let's continue working together to help our communities thrive, strengthen supplier integration with large manufacturers, and capture more value-added jobs and companies in the Paso del Norte region. We are proud of all the SMEs that have completed The Bridge Accelerator program and look forward to collaborating with this growing group of companies in future opportunities.

SHARING KNOWLEDGE

THE VALUE OF INTEGRATING YOUR TEAM

Currently, an increasing number of companies are adopting new integration techniques to enhance their work environments and motivate their teams. Fun activities play a crucial role in enabling individuals to perceive each other from a different perspective, fostering a well-balanced workplace, connecting colleagues from diverse areas, and establishing personal connections.

Incorporating team-building activities is essential for improving productivity. One of the primary goals is to help individuals disconnect from their daily routines, combat stress, and break the monotony by engaging in activities within a different setting.

Team-building events consistently yield positive results, including:

Increased motivation and efficiency.

Fostered collaboration.

Improved communication.

Enhanced sense of belonging within the team.

At Technology HUB, we continuously strive to provide our collaborators and clients with unique experiences. One of Tech HUB's tenants, OH! Kitchen/Workshop, led by renowned Chef Oscar Herrera, recently offered us a delightful business integration design thinking with food class. This experience revolved around teamwork while competing under a specific time with three other teams to prepare a chef-style meal, while creating an unforgettable culinary and learning experience.
