PRESS RELEASE: THE BRIDGE ACCELERATOR BINATIONAL SUPPLIER DEVELOPMENT PROGRAM
The Bridge Accelerator is seeking to increase the participation of small and medium size enterprises as suppliers of large manufacturers in its demo day and one-to-one sessions.
The press conference was held at Technology HUB and featured Omar Saucedo (Microsoft Community Tech Spark manager), Lennys Sanchez, (FUNAX director), Carlos Noe (7th Cohort Generation participant), Miguel Samaniego (Director of SIDE North industrial Zone) and Andrés Morales (Secretary Director of Industry Promotion).
The press conference’s committee invites companies and entrepreneurs, interested in becoming suppliers of the manufacturing industry, to participate in its 8th cohort generation starting on March 16th. Omar Saucedo stated, ““In 2019, only 1.7% of the manufacturing supply companies were from Juarez-El Paso region, but that percentage has increased to around 2.5% thanks to The Bridge and other efforts. However, we need to reach 10-15%.”

At Technology HUB, FUNAX hosted a special breakfast event for middle and high school teachers and directors who benefit from the Fab Lab (Digital Fabrication Laboratory) and Microsoft TEALS program.
The aim was to express gratitude for their hard work in educating the city’s students. The teachers and directors had the opportunity to familiarize themselves with the Mobile Fab Lab and interact with the technology and equipment available to bring their projects to life.

FUNAX has announced its 10th year anniversary and will be celebrating it throughout the year.
The directors of FUNAX, Sandra Salinas (co-founder), Ricardo Mora (President of the Board), Lennys Sánchez (Executive Director) and Ivonne Aguilera (Board member), were present at the press conference held at Technology HUB. The directors shared the story of the organization and its benefits to the Juarez community and announced special activities held at Technology HUB to celebrate its 10th year anniversary.

Oscar Herrera is a seasoned entrepreneur in the gastronomy field with over 10 years of experience, starting his career in El Paso, Texas.
His latest project, OH! located at Technology HUB, has benefited from the ecosystem of FUNAX and Technology HUB. The location at Technology HUB has provided OH! with connections to different companies, support from FUNAX to create a social program, revenue, and the opportunity to offer public workshops for unique experiences.
Oscar invites the community to participate in his gastronomy workshops, open to anyone interested in learning more about cooking and having a good time.
