With 2 successful generations and 21 SMEs graduated, The Bridge Accelerator has created $4 million dollars in purchase orders and 108 new jobs.

This Thursday August 27, a press conference was held to formally invite companies in the region to be part of the third generation of The Bridge Accelerator, a binational program that increases the participation of local enterprises in the supply chain of large manufacturing companies.

“This program is mainly dedicated to solving a problem that we have in the region. There are currently 39 billion dollars of inputs in our region and only 2% are purchased in this region. The program seeks to help change these providers, to become local and regional, "said Ricardo Mora, CEO of Technology HUB.

The event was attended by Omar Saucedo, TechSpark Community Engagement Manager in Mexico for Microsoft; Álvaro Bustillos, President of Economic Development of Ciudad Juarez; Rodolfo Vázquez, Undersecretary of Innovation and Economic Development of the State of Chihuahua; and Ricardo Mora, CEO of Technology HUB.

The manufacturing industry is important in the region. In his participation, Rodolfo Vázquez spoke about the interest of the State Government in supporting this type of companies and industry. He also highlighted the important adaptation work they have done.

“Faced with this pandemic and challenges for the manufacturing industry, in less than 30 days the industries were able to redesign their layouts to have appropriate processes and take care of people,” said Rodolfo Vázquez.

More than a program where companies sit and listen, it is an experience that forces companies to rethink many questions about their business model and what changes they can make to increase their participation in the supply chain.

“Above all, the objective is to open up to resolve together the problems or other issues that arise,” explained Omar Saucedo. “It is one of the most ideal moments to get together and collaborate. I think it is a mistake for an SME to isolate itself and want to solve things alone”.

To apply to the program, visit the page: www.tb-xl.com. The closing of applications is September 5, 2020 and the program begins on September 22, 2020.

This program lasts 12 weeks with 10 modules, each module has key topics for companies and at the end the participants will have the opportunity to present their business in the Demo Day, with the possibility of winning up to 25 thousand dollars.

“This is a detonating project that integrates our community”. Álvaro Bustillos added. “Our region is the fourth largest manufacturing region in the world, and we have one of the most sophisticated and technical workforce in the world”.
