NEW YEARS 2023 MESSAGE
Let your dreams take flight!
Time flies too as new year is upon us, this is a great time to reflect and look ahead, I always find the start of a new year to be refreshing and inspiring.
For the past 20+ years I have had the opportunity to enjoy general aviation as a private pilot, during this time I have gathered enumerable memories and new flight experience to weather the unexpected bumps of the journey. Like a pilot must plan his course to the next landing place, we all need to look at the past, reflect and learn how to prepare for our next destination.
Technology HUB Business Center and FUNAX its philanthropic arm are both inspiring initiatives that help design new and exciting paths for Ciudad Juarez and El Paso’s youth, adolescents, small businesses and the manufacturing sector. Together, we promote workforce development initiatives and through our inspiring co-creation spaces, we advocate collaboration over competition.
I would like to thank all of our customers, sponsors, partners and allies for believing in the power of collaboration and for strengthening our regional innovation ecosystem. I encourage you to reflect on your strength to positively inspire and impact your businesses, its members and family’s quality of life.

THE BRIDGE ACCELERATOR 2022 WRAP UP
In 2022, The Bridge Accelerator-Binational Supplier development program has integrated a community of different organizations such as allies, buyers, and our generous sponsors, summing to date, 288 organizations on both sides of the El Paso and Ciudad Juarez border, these are key assets to continue increasing the regions supply chain integration. Since our launch in 2019, seventy eight (78) graduating companies have become a live ecosystem which continues to build new solutions for the manufacturing industry.
As of 2023 The Bridge Accelerator will offer an anual membership which will only be available to graduating alumni companies to support them in upkeeping their business model with sales assistance, strategic consulting, program perks, including outreach with potential buyers in and outside our region.
In October 2022, Technology Hub was one of the selected places to visit U.S-Mexico border by Next City Vanguard where a panel discussion was conducted on the subject of "Accelerating an inclusive economy". Next City’s Vanguard program brings together more than 40 rising urban professionals from U.S. working to improve cities. Solving urban problems means working across divides, so Vanguard convenes professionals across borders and across sectors, including architecture, art, civic technology, community development, entrepreneurship, government, transportation and urban planning.

PHILANTROPY
FUNAX 2022 YEAR & SUMMARY
During 2022, FUNAX concentrated its efforts in the Ciudad Juarez - El Paso border region with eight (8) projects that helped trigger creativity and initiative in children, young adults, and SME's, training centers and in our Fab Lab: Microsoft TEALS Program, The Bridge Accelerator, Prisma Vinculum Culinario, Fab Lab Juárez, Habilidades Digitales, Fab Lab Móvil and Geeks Node.
Moreover, FUNAX had the pleasure of welcoming: UTEP President Dr. Heather Wilson who shared a conference "Glance at the future", and followed with the ribbon-cutting ceremony marking the official reopening of "Fab Lab Juárez-digital fabrication laboratory."
Fab Lab Juarez had the opportunity to travel abroad and represented Mexico in the International Festival of Laboratories of digital fabrication in Bali-Indonesia.
