Sharks Business Hunters is a “shark tank” style competition where 10 startups from the state of Chihuahua, in Mexico, participated. Four investors or "sharks", offered to invest resources to promote the project with the greatest potential for success. It was the first activity within RESET, the largest binational innovation & entrepreneurship summit along the U.S. - Mexico border.

The competition was held on November 14, 2017 at the Technology HUB facilities in Ciudad Juarez in front of an audience of more than 200 people. To watch the complete video of the event, click here.

Results:

Out of the 10 participating startups, only three acquired investment:

Pide a Casa, a platform that connects restaurants with people who want delivery service. Investment: $20 thousand dollars for 10% of the company.

KetoTrace, a device that measures ketone bodies in urine. Investment: $30 thousand dollars for 2% of the company.

Reply’Em, a mass messaging software for use through Facebook. Investment: $20 thousand dollars for 5% of the company.

The 7 remaining startups achieved follow-up agreements with the investors.
